Akioto Audio Interface
Modular audio control designed for creators
The Akioto Audio Interface was developed to meet the complex needs of content creators, gamers, streamers, and audio professionals — offering intuitive control, expandable architecture, and a clear, confident visual identity. I was responsible for the industrial design, with an emphasis on function, durability, and understated character.
The product is built entirely in metal, a deliberate choice that sets it apart from most plastic-bodied interfaces in its category. This gives the unit a solid, professional feel, reinforces its long-term reliability, and aligns its physical presence with the seriousness of its performance.
A signature detail in the design is the use of bent metal side plates, which form a channel that allows multiple units to be docked together seamlessly. This solution enables modular expansion without external frames or complex mechanisms, while also introducing a subtle color accent — a simple gesture that becomes both functional and iconic.
Other features were designed to support a streamlined and adaptable workflow:
Motorized faders with assignable control
Layer-based paging for up to 25 channels
Dual mic inputs, headphone outs, speaker switching
USB-C and USB 3.0 hubs for versatile connectivity
The result is a system designed for professionals who value control, precision, and clarity — in both sound and design.
